Noise cancellation, scored like a fight: every matchup, round by round
I score fights between noise tools. Nobody’s sponsor picks a winner — the rounds do, in public, with the arithmetic printed on every card. The standing champion is Krisp; six challengers have answered the bell so far.
The fight card

| Krisp vs Zoom & Teams built-ins | 38–36 | Unanimous For Krisp |
| Krisp vs SteelSeries Sonar | 48–47 | Split Verdict |
| Krisp vs Adobe Podcast Enhance | 36–28 | Draw |
| Krisp vs Descript | 37–28 | Split Verdict |
| Krisp vs Cleanvoice | 20–20 | No Contest |
How rounds get scored here
Boxing rules, adapted: each bout is broken into named rounds — noise quality, price, hardware freedom, scope, system toll — and scored 10–9, 10–8 for a dominant round, 10–10 when honesty demands it. Every round carries a referee’s note arguing the score, every fact at ringside is dated (this card: July 30, 2026), and the decision is whatever the arithmetic says. When two tools aren’t actually in the same fight — live software against upload services — I call the no-contest instead of inventing a winner.
Find your fight
Wondering whether the $8 champion beats the free RTX contender: Krisp vs NVIDIA Broadcast is the most-booked bout in the division. Wondering whether you need anything beyond the switch already in your meeting app: Krisp vs the Zoom & Teams toggles. Game nights: the 48–47 Sonar thriller. Fixing recordings, not calls: start at the battle of the free hours. New to the champion entirely: the full Krisp file — and when you’re done, the alternatives card matches every challenger to the reader it actually suits.
Ringside questions
- What is Split Verdict?
- A comparison site with one format: head-to-head bouts between noise cancellation tools, scored round by round on public cards — Krisp as the standing champion, six challengers so far, decisions computed from the rounds.
- Who scores the fights?
- The referee — a first-person editorial voice held by our small desk, disclosed on the about page. Rounds are argued in writing on every card, so you can dispute any of them with the tape in front of you.
- Is Krisp always the winner here?
- No — its computed record is 4–0–1 with one no-contest, and the cards send whole audiences elsewhere: RTX owners to Broadcast, gamers to Sonar, recorded-audio people out of the division entirely.
